Accessibility statement.

We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification, or other assistive technology. Here is what we aim for, what we test, what we know falls short, and how to tell us about a problem.

This statement covers veteransolutionstx.com (English and Spanish pages) and the capability statement PDF we publish there. It is written by Veteran Solutions, LLC, a Texas limited liability company based in Waco, Texas.

Our goal

We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We are a small company and we work on this ourselves, so we describe below exactly what we have checked rather than claim more than we have.

What we do

  • Keyboard use. Every page has a "Skip to main content" link, and every link, button, and control can be reached and used from the keyboard with a visible focus outline.
  • Structure. Pages use one main heading, headings in order, and labeled landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer) so assistive technology can jump around.
  • Text and color. Text meets the WCAG contrast minimums in both the light and dark themes, which follow your device setting. Text can be enlarged without losing content.
  • Small screens. Pages reflow to a 320 px wide screen without side-to-side scrolling, apart from wide result tables, which scroll inside their own frame.
  • Images and forms. Meaningful images have text alternatives, decorative images are hidden from assistive technology, and every form field and control has a label.
  • Language. The site is available in English and Spanish, and each page declares its language.
  • PDF. The capability statement is a tagged PDF with real headings, link text, and image descriptions. It passed Adobe Acrobat's accessibility checker.

How we test

On October 12, 2026 we tested every page of this site, in English and Spanish, in both light and dark themes. We ran an automated checker (axe-core) against the WCAG 2.0, 2.1, and 2.2 A and AA rules, walked through the pages with the keyboard alone, and checked a 320 px wide screen. We fixed what we found and re-tested the live site. We repeat these checks when we make significant changes.

Known limits

  • Automated tools catch only part of the possible problems. We have not yet done a full manual test with screen readers, and we have not had the site tested by people who use assistive technology every day.
  • Some of our free tools show their results on the page after you press a button. We have not yet confirmed how every screen reader announces those results.
  • On very narrow screens, a few wide result tables scroll sideways inside their own frame instead of reflowing.
  • Two items in the PDF checker, reading order and color contrast, can only be confirmed by a person. We reviewed them ourselves and measured the contrast, but a person using a screen reader may find something we missed.

What this statement does not cover

  • Our other sites. The VetSITREP website and the BidSITREP service were reviewed with the same tools on the same day. Some BidSITREP screens, such as sign-in timeouts, error pages, and emails, are still being reviewed. The BidSITREP service is available in English only.
  • Webmail. The login page for our mail server is a separate product that we do not control.
  • Third-party content. The footer status badge (UptimeRobot) and the web fonts (Google Fonts) come from other companies.

Tell us about a problem

If something on this site is hard or impossible for you to use, please tell us. Include the page address, what happened, and the browser or assistive technology you use, if you know it.

We aim to reply within two business days. If you need information from this site in another form, such as a plain-text copy, a large-print copy, or a phone call to walk through it, ask and we will provide it at no charge.

Changes to this statement

When we test again or fix something significant, we will update this page and the date at the top.
