Terms of service.
The short version: these terms cover Veteran Solutions, LLC as a whole: our websites, free tools, and the services we do for you and invoice. They are written in plain language and are meant to be fair to both sides. Our apps, FedSITREP and VetSITREP, have their own terms of service, which apply to them.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to the websites and services of Veteran Solutions, LLC, a Texas limited liability company based in Waco, Texas, including its assumed names Veteran Notary Services and Veteran Mobile Services ("we," "us"). By using our websites or buying a service from us you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Product-specific terms. Some of our products have their own terms of service, which apply to that product and control over these Terms where they differ: FedSITREP terms and VetSITREP terms. Please read those for the details of each product.
If you and we sign an agreement, or you accept a written quote, order, or purchase order, that document also controls where it differs from these Terms.
Using our websites
- The information on our websites is general information about what we do. It is not legal, compliance, or tax advice.
- The websites, their text, and their design belong to Veteran Solutions, LLC. You may link to them and quote short passages with credit; please don't copy them to present as your own.
- We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Defense, or any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces.
- The website links to other sites. We don't control them, and their own terms and privacy practices apply once you leave.
Free tools
The free tools on this website (password, passphrase, PIN and recovery-code generators, the password policy generator, the file checksum checker, the encrypted note, and similar) are provided as a courtesy, "as is" and "as available." They run in your browser. You are responsible for how you use what they produce, including keeping generated passwords safe. Tools that refer to NIST, CJIS, CMMC, DoD STIG, or similar standards help you follow those standards; they do not certify that you comply, and they are not a substitute for reading the standard that applies to you.
Our services
- How a job is defined. The scope, price, and timing of a job are set by a written quote, an order (including an order placed through Vetlancer, which also has its own terms), or a contract. Changes to the scope are agreed by email or in writing before the extra work is done.
- How we work. We do the work with reasonable care and skill, and we keep what we learn about your systems and business confidential.
- Access to your systems. You confirm that you are authorized to give us access to the systems and accounts involved. Back up anything important before we change it. We access only what the job requires.
- No guarantee of results. Security and network work reduces risk; it can't remove it. We can't promise that a system will never fail, be attacked, or be breached.
- Notary services. Notarial acts (offered as Veteran Notary Services) are governed by Texas law, which controls over these Terms. We can't give legal advice, and we must decline an act when the law requires it, for example when the signer's identity can't be confirmed.
Invoices and payment
- How you pay. We send invoices by email with an invoice number, and the invoice shows how to pay: by card, ACH debit or bank transfer online through Stripe (including from our payment page, pay.veteransolutionstx.com), by ACH or wire (we send the details by email, never on our websites), by check or money order, or by purchase order where agreed. We add no surcharge for card payments.
- When payment is due. By the due date on the invoice, which is normally 30 days after it is issued unless the quote, contract, or purchase order says otherwise.
- Taxes. Where the law requires us to charge sales tax, it is added to the invoice.
- Card and bank details. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card or bank account number.
- Questions about an invoice. If you think an invoice is wrong, email support@veteransolutionstx.com within 30 days of receiving it, say which part, and pay the part that isn't in question. If an undisputed invoice is overdue, we may pause further work on that job after telling you.
- Refunds. The quote, order, or contract says what is refundable. If you were charged by mistake, email us within 30 days and we will look at it.
Government customers
We welcome purchase orders and contracts from federal, state, and local agencies, school districts, and other public bodies. When a purchase order or contract applies, its terms control over these Terms where they conflict. Nothing in these Terms asks a public body to agree to something its law does not allow, such as an indemnity or a governing law or venue other than its own; where such a conflict exists, the law that applies to the public body controls.
No warranty
The website and the free tools are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind. For paid services, the only promises are those in the quote, order, or contract and the care described above. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all other warranties, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Veteran Solutions, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or downtime, arising from your use of the website, the free tools, or our services. For a paid service, our total liability for any claim arising from that service is limited to the amount you paid us for it. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have that cannot be limited under applicable law, or liability for fraud or willful misconduct.
Changes to these Terms
If these Terms change, we will post the new version at this address with a new "Last updated" date. A change does not alter a quote, order, or contract already accepted.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, subject to the section on government customers above.
